Publication Process

• Acknowledgement of receipt of submitted manuscript.
• The manuscript (without the name and affiliations of the author) is sent to two reviewers. 
• The Review Reports are received and the editor sends the Review Reports to the authors including the terms and conditions of the publication.

Accepted Manuscript: in this case, the editor sends a request to the author(s) to pay the publication fee. Conditionally Accepted Manuscripts: (accepted subject to corrections/modifications), the editor sends the Review Reports to the author with a request to modify the paper as per the suggestions of the reviewers. Upon re-submission, the modified paper is sent to the same reviewers for a final decision. 

Rejected manuscripts: the paper can be rejected either during the Internal Review or the External Review process. When a paper is rejected, the editor sends a rejection notification and the journal stops all processes related to the paper. 

• When all journal terms and conditions have been fulfilled, the accepted manuscript is prepared for publication. Minor editorial changes might be made in the manuscript at this stage. If the author request for an Acceptance Letter, the editor issues one at this stage. 
• The editor sends the prepared paper to the author for final proofreading.
• The editor notifies the author about E-Version with download link. The author has up to 5days to request for corrections/adjustments in published paper.
• The journal is published in print by our US based publisher and distributor.
• The editor sends a paperback copy of the journal to the authors within two weeks after print publication / within three weeks of online publication.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Journal Style
JELLiC accepts both MLA and APA referencing style. However, authors MUST be consistent. Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words and should be double-spaced on A4 paper with a 1 inch margin on all four sides. Pages should be numbered consecutively at the bottom, center. 

Cover Sheet
A cover sheet should include title of article, author(s) name(s), affiliation, full postal address and email address, telephone and fax numbers where possible. The name and address of the principal author responsible for correspondence concerning the manuscript should appear first. 

Abstract
An abstract of about 300 words should be provided plus up to 5 keywords. The Abstract should be on the second page. Please, note that we DO NOT accept or review abstracts alone. They MUST be submitted alongside the complete article.

File types
Only electronic files conforming to the journal's guidelines will be accepted. Preferred formats for the text and tables of your manuscript are Word DOC, RTF, DOCX.

Corresponding Author Contact details
Provide full contact details for the corresponding author including email, mailing address and telephone numbers on the cover sheet. Academic affiliations are required for all co-authors. 

Acknowledgements
Where applicable, any acknowledgements should appear at the end of the article prior to any notes and References. Authors are required to acknowledge their funding in a consistent fashion under a separate heading.

Call for Papers - General

 JELLiC: Journal of English Language, Literature and Culture is currently accepting manuscripts for publication in Volume 4 – March, July and November 2015. JELLiC is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes research articles from and across different academic disciplines that examine issues related to Language, Literature, Culture and Critical Theory, as well as dynamic cross-disciplinary discussions that engage the links between these and other domains.

All papers published in JELLiC are peer-reviewed. The first round of review is done by internal editors to ensure that the paper conforms to the style and specialty of the journal. Papers selected from this initial review are submitted for a second round of review, which is done by external Reviewers. Contributors whose papers are accepted will be notified by email. All submitted papers are considered subject to the understanding that they have not been published and are not being considered for publication elsewhere.

The Scientific Review Team and the Editors has a zero tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. Academic probity requires that ideas and work borrowed from others should be properly and correctly acknowledged. Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully re-read the manuscript for possible undocumented information. The Editors retain the absolute authority to reject a manuscript or cancel the publication of a paper or retract/withdraw an already published paper if any form of plagiarism is discovered.
